How to set an online alarm
- Choose the alarm time, and optionally add a label and pick a sound. Click "Test sound" to check your volume.
- Click "Set alarm", or use a quick button such as "In 20 min". The list shows when each alarm will ring and how long is left.
- Leave this tab open. When the alarm rings, click Stop, or Snooze for a few more minutes.
Reliable even in a background tab
Browsers slow down timers in tabs you are not looking at to save battery, which can make simple online alarms ring late. This alarm clock schedules its sound on the browser’s audio clock the moment you set it, and that clock keeps exact time in the background. So you can switch to other tabs or windows and the alarm still rings on time.
Two things stop any web alarm: closing the tab, and your computer going to sleep. Plug in your laptop and tick "Keep the screen awake" (supported in Chrome, Edge and Safari) for long naps or overnight alarms. Turn on notifications to get a pop-up as well as the sound.
Features
Set as many alarms as you like, each with its own label and sound. Repeating alarms ring at the same time every day while the tab is open. Snooze for 5 to 15 minutes; an alarm that is not stopped keeps ringing for five minutes. Your alarms are remembered in this browser, and come back switched off after a reload, because browsers only allow sound after you click on the page.

Frequently asked questions
Will the alarm ring if I switch tabs?
Yes. The sound is scheduled on the audio clock, which keeps running in background tabs. The tab must stay open and the computer must stay awake.
Does it work if my computer goes to sleep?
No web page can wake a sleeping computer. Keep it plugged in and awake, or use "Keep the screen awake".
Why don’t I hear anything?
Check that your volume is up and the tab is not muted. Click "Test sound" to try it.
Can I set more than one alarm?
Yes. Add as many as you need; each has its own time, label and sound.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser, and nothing you enter leaves your device.
