How to add text to a picture

- Type your text and pick a font, size, color, outline and opacity.
- Choose a position, or select "Drag on image" and drag the text where you want it, then download.
Readable text on any photo
Text over photos can disappear against busy backgrounds. A dark outline around light text (or vice versa) keeps it readable almost anywhere, which is why memes use white Impact type with a black stroke. Size is set as a percentage of image width so it looks the same on any photo size.
For watermarks, lower the opacity to 30–50% and place the mark where it is hard to crop out, or use the tiled option across the whole image. A visible watermark discourages casual reuse of your photos and designs, though it will not stop a determined copier.
The image is edited and exported entirely in your browser at its original resolution. Choose PNG for screenshots and graphics with sharp edges, and JPG for photos.
