How to copy and paste emoji

  1. Search by name, such as "heart", "fire" or "check", or pick a category.
  2. Click an emoji or symbol to copy it to your clipboard. It is also added to the picks bar so you can build a string of several.
  3. Paste anywhere with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac).

Emoji and symbols that work everywhere

Emoji are standardized by the Unicode Consortium, so a copied emoji is real text that works in messages, social posts, documents and code. Their look depends on the device: Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung each draw their own versions. This picker includes emoji up to version 15.1, which current phones and computers display.

Symbols like →, ✓, ★, ©, €, ½ and ° are ordinary text characters that work in plain text fields where images cannot go, such as usernames, spreadsheets and email subjects. Kaomoji are text faces built from characters, like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Your recently used emoji are remembered in this browser for quick access. On Windows you can also open the built-in panel with Windows key + period, and on a Mac with Control + Command + Space.
