About extracted images

Images are saved at the resolution stored in the PDF, which is often higher than what you see on screen. They are exported as PNG files so no further quality is lost.

Some things that look like images are not: charts and logos are often vector drawings, and text is text. Those will not appear as extracted images; use PDF to JPG to capture whole pages instead.

Images are sometimes stored in pieces (tiles or strips), with transparency masks, or reused on several pages; each stored image is listed once per page where it appears. Respect copyright when reusing images from documents you did not create.

PDFs contain small decorative images; raise the minimum size to skip them.

No. Extraction happens in your browser.
