How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box or click "Choose PDF". Thumbnails of every page appear.
  2. Click each page you want to remove; it turns red. Or type pages such as "2, 5-7, 10-end" and click "Mark pages".
  3. Click "Delete pages and download" to save the PDF without them.

Remove pages without retyping anything

Deleting pages is the quickest way to trim a document before sending it: drop the cover sheet from a scan, remove the terms-and-conditions pages from a statement, or take out the blank backs of single-sided pages. The pages you keep are copied unchanged, so text stays searchable and images keep their quality.

Resources that only the deleted pages used, such as their images and fonts, are removed too, so the new file is genuinely smaller. "Invert" flips your selection, which is handy when it is easier to click the few pages you want to keep.

Want to keep only a few pages as a separate file instead? Split PDF can extract them. To delete pages and also reorder or rotate others, use Organize PDF Pages.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your PDF is opened and processed by JavaScript in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server and no copy is kept.

How do I type page ranges?

Separate items with commas and use a hyphen for ranges. "end" means the last page, so "1, 4-6, 20-end" works.

Can I delete every page?

No. A PDF must keep at least one page, so the button is disabled when every page is marked.

Is the original file changed?

No. You download a new copy; the file on your computer is not touched.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Yes. Scanned pages are images inside the PDF and are kept or removed like any other page.
