How eBay seller fees work
For most categories, eBay's final value fee is 13.6% of the total amount of the sale (item price, shipping, handling and sales tax) up to $7,500, plus 2.35% of any amount above $7,500. A per-order fee of $0.30 applies to orders of $10 or less and $0.40 to orders over $10. Books, DVDs, movies and music are 15.3%, and athletic shoes sold for $150 or more are 8% with no per-order fee.
Promoted Listings General charges your chosen ad rate only when a buyer clicks your ad and buys within 30 days. Sales to buyers outside the U.S. add a 1.65% international fee. Top Rated Plus listings get a 10% discount on the percentage part of the final value fee.
Most sellers get up to 250 free listings a month; insertion fees apply beyond that. Fee tables differ for some categories such as handbags, jewelry, watches and business equipment, so use the custom rate for those, and check eBay's current fee page because rates change.
