Emoji Translator
Turn plain text into emoji-rich text with one click — or run it in reverse and strip the emojis back out. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Words matched get their emoji right after them.
How the translator works
- Type or paste your text, then choose Add emojis to decorate it or Remove emojis to clean it.
- In Add mode, the translator matches whole words against a built-in dictionary of 100+ everyday words — love, coffee, party, dog — and places the emoji right after each match.
- Copy the result into any app. Your text is processed locally and never uploaded.
When emoji help — and when they hurt
Emoji work as visual punctuation: one well-placed symbol can set the tone of a caption faster than a sentence of explanation, and they measurably raise engagement on social posts. The translator's word-by-word placement keeps text readable — the words carry the meaning, the emoji carry the feeling. That balance matters: messages written entirely in emoji become a puzzle, and screen readers announce every symbol by name, so a sentence with twelve emoji takes twelve detours to hear.
Use Remove mode before pasting social text into professional documents, email subject lines, or anywhere symbols could render as boxes on older devices. One or two emoji per sentence is the sweet spot for almost everything else.

Frequently asked questions
How many words does the dictionary know?
Over 100 of the most common everyday words — feelings, food, animals, weather, activities, and objects. Whole words are matched, and simple plurals (dogs, parties) are handled automatically.
Why did some words not get an emoji?
The map covers common words, not names, slang, or technical terms. If a word has no widely recognized emoji, it is left as plain text rather than forcing a confusing symbol.
Does Remove mode delete anything besides emoji?
No. It removes emoji characters and tidy-ups the extra spaces they leave behind. Letters, numbers, and punctuation are untouched.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The translation runs entirely in your browser with a built-in word map — try it with your connection off and it still works.
