- Choose a resolution. High (144 dpi) suits screens and slides; Print (216 dpi) or higher is best for printing or zooming in.
- Click "Convert to PNG", then download each page or click "Download all (ZIP)".
When to choose PNG over JPG
PNG is lossless: every pixel is saved exactly, so text, lines, charts and diagrams stay perfectly crisp with no blurry halos around letters. That makes PNG the right choice for slides, documentation screenshots, invoices you want to paste into a presentation, and anything you might edit again. JPG files are smaller but blur fine detail, so they are better for photos and scanned pages.
Each page is drawn with Mozilla’s PDF.js, the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs, at the resolution you choose. Higher resolutions give larger images that hold up when you zoom or print; at 144 dpi a US Letter page becomes about 1224 × 1584 pixels.
Pages with transparency are placed on a white background, the same way they appear in a PDF viewer. All processing happens on your device, so confidential documents are safe to convert.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your PDF is opened and processed by JavaScript in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server and no copy is kept.
What resolution should I use?
High (144 dpi) for screens, email and slides. Print (216 dpi) or Very high (288 dpi) for printing or detailed diagrams.
Why are PNG files bigger than JPG?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, which takes more space. For photos and scans, PDF to JPG gives much smaller files.
Can I convert only some pages?
Every page is converted, and each has its own Download button, so save just the ones you need.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then convert the unlocked copy.
