How to build a quiz

  1. Write each question with four options and use the dropdown to mark the correct one.
  2. Add as many questions as you need, then click Start quiz to take it right here — options are clickable and scoring is instant.
  3. For paper, click Print quiz: questions and options print cleanly, with the answer key on the last page.

Writing questions that actually test knowledge

A multiple-choice question is only as good as its wrong answers. Distractors should be plausible — the result of a real misunderstanding — not jokes; a question everyone can answer by eliminating two absurd options measures nothing. Keep options similar in length (the longest is suspiciously often correct), avoid "all of the above", and test one idea per question so a wrong answer tells you exactly what to reteach.

The interactive mode here grades the way students experience the quiz — pick, commit, check — and reports the score immediately. For homework, print the paper version and keep the key page for yourself; the builder saves nothing, so copy your questions into a document if you want to reuse the quiz next term.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions can a quiz have?

As many as you add. For most class quizzes, 8–15 questions balance coverage with attention; the interactive scorer handles any length.

Can students see the correct answers while playing?

Not until they click Check answers. At that point correct choices turn green and wrong picks turn red, with a total score — the feedback arrives after they have committed, which is what makes it instructive.

Does the printed quiz include the answers?

The answer key prints as a separate final section, clearly labeled, so you can print the full document and simply keep the last page back.

Are my questions saved or uploaded?

No. Everything lives in this page in your browser. Reloading clears the builder, so copy questions elsewhere if you need them again.
