How to rotate a PDF

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box or click "Choose PDF". A thumbnail appears for every page.
  2. Click a page to turn it 90° clockwise, or use ⟲ and ⟳ under it. The buttons above rotate all pages, or only odd or even pages.
  3. Click "Save PDF" to download the rotated document.

Rotation that sticks

Most PDF viewers let you rotate the view, but that change is lost when you close the file or send it to someone else. This tool saves the rotation into the PDF itself, so the pages open the right way up in every viewer, on every device and when printed.

Rotation is stored as a page setting, so nothing is re-rendered: text stays sharp and searchable, images keep their quality and the file size barely changes. That is also why rotating is instant, even for long documents.

Fixing double-sided scans

Duplex scanners and phone apps sometimes turn every second page upside down. Use "Even pages ⟳" twice to turn just those pages 180°, or "Odd pages ⟳" for the opposite case. To reorder or delete pages at the same time, use Organize PDF Pages or the PDF Editor.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your PDF is opened and processed by JavaScript in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server and no copy is kept.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Click that page’s thumbnail, or use the arrows under it. Other pages are left alone.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. The page is not redrawn; the PDF simply records the new orientation.

Will the rotation show in other PDF readers?

Yes. It is saved in the file, so Adobe Reader, Preview, browsers and phones all show the new orientation.

Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?

Yes. Enter the password when asked. The rotated copy is saved without a password.
