Spinner Wheel — Random Picker
Type in names or choices, give the wheel a spin, and let chance decide. Perfect for classrooms, raffles, team picks and "where should we eat?"
How to use the spinner wheel
- Type or paste your entries into the box, one per line. The wheel updates as you type.
- Click "Spin the wheel" (or press Enter on the button). The wheel slows down and lands on a random entry.
- Tick "Remove the winner" to draw several winners in a row without repeats, and use Reset to bring the full list back.
Is the spinner wheel fair?
Yes. The winning slice is chosen before the animation starts, using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (the same one used for passwords), and the wheel is then animated to land on it. Every entry has exactly the same chance, no matter where it sits on the wheel or how many times you spin.
Want to give someone a better chance, like a raffle where people bought several tickets? Enter their name once per ticket. The wheel will show more slices for them, and their odds go up in proportion.
The wheel works well on a projector or shared screen for classroom cold-calling, picking a presenter, choosing a game, assigning chores or settling a dinner debate. Your list stays on your device; nothing is uploaded. For drawing many winners at once, or splitting people into groups, try the name picker or random team generator.

Frequently asked questions
How many entries can the wheel hold?
Up to 200. With many entries the labels get small, so for big lists the result banner below the wheel is the easiest way to read the winner.
Can I save my list?
Your entries are kept in this browser automatically, so they are still there next time you visit on the same device.
Can the same person win twice?
Yes, unless you tick "Remove the winner after each spin".
Is it truly random?
Yes. It uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's secure random source, so the outcome cannot be predicted from previous spins.
