How to trim a video
- Drop a video from your device.
- Play it and click "Set start" and "Set end" at the right moments, or type exact times.
- Choose whether to keep the sound and the output size, then click Trim video. The clip plays through once while it is recorded, then you can download it.
How browser trimming works
To keep your video private, trimming happens entirely in your browser: the selected part plays once while your browser re-records it, so a 30-second clip takes about 30 seconds. Keep the tab visible while it works.
The clip is saved as MP4 where your browser can record it (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari) and as WebM elsewhere. Because the clip is re-encoded, the file size and quality can differ slightly from the original.
For short, silent loops, Video to GIF may be a better fit; to keep just the sound, use Video to MP3.

No. It never leaves your device.
