How to make printable graph paper

- Click Download PDF and print at 100% ("Actual size"), not "Fit to page", so the spacing stays exact.
Choosing the right paper
Quarter-inch (4 squares per inch) graph paper is the classic for math, charts and floor plans; 5 mm and 1 cm grids suit metric work. Engineering paper darkens every fifth line so you can count squares quickly. Dot grid paper is popular for bullet journals and sketching because the dots guide without dominating.
For handwriting, wide ruled (11/32 inch) suits younger students, college ruled (9/32 inch) fits more lines per page, and narrow ruled (¼ inch) is for small handwriting. Isometric paper, made of 60° triangles, is used for 3D drawings and game maps. Music staff paper gives evenly spaced five-line staves.
The PDF is drawn with vector lines, so it prints crisp at any resolution. Print at 100% scale; "Fit to page" shrinks the grid slightly so squares are no longer exact.
