How to use this template
List the family members in the summary box at the bottom, then list chores, choose who is responsible from the dropdown, and give each chore a point value. Harder or less popular jobs should be worth more.
Each day, put an x in the box when a chore is done. The square turns green, and the totals update instantly. Kids tend to enjoy marking their own boxes, especially on a printed copy on the fridge.
Set a dollar value per point at the top and the summary converts points into allowance. If you do not pay an allowance, use points for privileges such as screen time or choosing the weekend movie.
At the start of each week, copy the tab or clear the marks and update the date. Rotating unpopular chores weekly keeps things fair and teaches everyone every job.

What age are chore charts good for?
Picture-based charts suit toddlers; this point-and-allowance version works best from about age 6 through the teen years.
